Tipping Point New Mexico

May 23, 2019

On this week's episode Paul interviews Carla Kugler, the President and CEO of the Associated Builders and Contractors of New Mexico.

Paul and Carla discuss the state of the construction industry in New Mexico and how it is performing these days. They go on to discuss various issues covered in the group's Merit Shop Scorecard and how New Mexico could be more friendly to the construction industry through the elimination of its Davis-Bacon law, enactment of "Right to Work," and other pro-market policies. Then they address the group's efforts in workforce training and apprenticeships.

Finally, Carla shares her perspective on some issues discussed during the 2019 legislative session and the impacts of the gross receipts tax.
