On this week's podcast interview Paul talks to
Jeanne Allen. Jeanne is the Founder and CEO of the Center
for Education Reform, a national education reform
organization that works to expand educational opportunities
that lead to improved economic outcomes for all Americans.
Jeanne's organization has two new reports that rank
US states based on various policies relating to empowering parents
and having sound charter school laws in place. Those
reports are detailed here. While New Mexico isn't at the very
bottom of either report, its performance is worse than most which
is tragic given the many social and economic challenges faced by
children in this state. Arizona on the other hand, long a leader in
choice and K-12 reform takes the top slot in both
reports.
